Chiropractors complete extensive education and training, similar to other healthcare professionals. Before entering chiropractic school, students typically complete four years of undergraduate studies with a focus on science courses. Chiropractic programs then require four to five years of professional study, covering subjects like anatomy, neurology, diagnosis, imaging, nutrition, and hands-on clinical training. Chiropractors must complete at least 4,200 hours of classroom, lab, and clinical work, and graduate from a program accredited by the Council on Chiropractic Education.
